Samana Trekking (2 days) is an alternative way to explore the Dominican Republic. Something for rovers and lovers of active outdoor adventure. Choose this option if you like hiking and authentic experiences, even at the cost of less comfort 😉
On the first day we will set off before dawn to cover approx. 4 hours of the road to the Samana Peninsula. En route we will stop for breakfast (included). We will explore the most beautiful beaches around the Las Terrenas resort, take a morning walk along the ocean shore and sit down for a coffee overlooking the sea. Then we will go deep into the green peninsula, for a hike to the Limon Waterfall. The walking route leads through a tropical forest, and the trek culminates with a chance to swim at the foot of the cascade. We will have lunch at one of the inns in the El Limon area or our next point of interest: the town of Samana. Here we will also stop at the Malecon Boulevard on the bay and at the intriguing "Bridge to Nowhere." connecting offshore islets. If time permits, there will be an opportunity to do a short walk along it. The afternoon will be spent in the recently fashionable El Valle" area. There you can enjoy a great attraction, which is one of the country's longest ziplines (extra cost of about 65 USD per person)). It provides an amazing experience on as many as 12 ropes suspended above the tropical jungle. Alternatively, we can take a horseback ride through the villages in the valley (extra cost of about 40 USD per person)or walk along the ocean shore at El Valle beach. In the evening, we will drive to the charming coastal Las Galeras town, where we will stay in a climatic guesthouse for globetrotters. Dinner on your own - we are happy to recommend pleasant and affordable options.
After breakfast, we will take a walk to the main beach of Las Galeras and also see the most beautiful spots in the area. After a coffee break, we'll check out and set off for a few hours of trekking along the coast to the famous Rincon beach. The path leads through countryside, coastal scrub and tropical forest, snagging several charming, almost deserted beaches along its route. It's more than 2-hour hike one way, and the scenery fully compensates for the solid physical effort 🙂 The walk gives you the opportunity to have a swim along the way, and once you reach the Rincon beach, 3 km long, there's a whole range of different spots for sunbathing. You can also admire the estuary of a river with crystal water and mangrove trees all around. We'll have fresh fish for lunch , and, so fed, we will gather for the return journey. Alternatively, for an extra charge, you can take the option of returning to Las Galeras by motorcycle , or, instead of trekking, do "Cruise to 4 beaches". (including the unearthly Frontón!) motorboat.
In the late afternoon we will leave for Puerto Plata, where we will arrive in the late evening.

The rest of the amount (according to private tour price list) you will pay on the spot or online, no later than the day of the tour.
